I would like to know how it works also. I replaced all the rubber tubes on mine, but still no joy. The light comes on when I press the CC button on the dash, but when I press the set buttons on the steering wheel it doesn't hold its speed.

Cruise only activates at a road speed of aprox 45KPH, a point often overlooked.

Yesterday my one wouldn't operate on the M1 freeway so today, out came the tools & I found a radial split hose just inside the bulkhead at the pedals. Taped it up for now & roadtested it & all is fine again. Just been onto Sprint Auto re some new hose so that's the next job.

Did you suck on the bellows/actuator hose ONLY, to see if it moved? It may be that is leaking & will require replacement.

Check the pedal switch(s) for correct location as some have a feeble mounting & are different to that shown in the Workshop manual. Check the connections at these switches, Vacuum & Electrical.

There could also be a problem at the Vehicle Speed Sensor mounted on the Transfer Case ie. wires off, dirty plug contacts etc.

    Hope this helps.
