Hi All,
I have just fitted 33's to my D1 and on the first run noticed how they had effected the brakes a fair bit! I was wondering if anyone had done any mods to their D1 brakes?
Any info appreciated!![]()

hey presto....thats weird
anyway, I have 35's on my disco 1 and its been fitted with county rotors and pads up front with stainless steel lines, stops on a dime....hope that is of some help![]()
Can't say i noticed any effects on braking when i fitted the 33's, but i spose i slowly worked up from 31's-32's then to 33's.
There are upgraded rotor's on the market, and stainless braided brake lines are meant to improve braking a little bit but havn't personly experianced this.

Mums- stock 92 200tdi d1.
New pads, good hoses and fresh fluid will help - assuming the rest of your braking system is in good nick.
Defender calipers will help definitely. The have a much bigger piston.
Cheers
Dave.
