If it's any consolation Falcons used to do it too, there's a little spring that holds the lock at full travel each way and of course it breaks. I don't know how many I fitted, haven't done a D1 yet though.
I developed a problem when unlocking the rear door via the fob, the actuator pops up the inside button fully, but when I grab and squeeze the outside door handle the button inside drops slightly and I can not open the back door. I then use the key to re lift the button and the door opens .
Before I pull everything apart any one had this problem and what was the fix.
Thanks guys/girls

Do a search for D1 door lock springs and you'll find the answer

Yeah, I ordered a set also. My tailgate door does exactly the same thing.
The hardest part I reckon will be the Door cards,, getting them off without breaking the retaining plugs. Lucky I scored a set from an member.
I reckon the springs would be easy enough to make if you had the correct wire, but for the time and effort it seems a better option to just buy them.
