    FUEL ISSUE

    l have a disco 1 v8 injected, engine turns but fuel pump is not working, have checked the fuse in the engine and one under the steering wheel, took the fuel pump off and hot wired it and the motor works, but hook up to the car and the fuel pump still doesnt work, any one have any ideas??

    Look for blackened connectors in the plug at the pump, the plug above the rear muffler and at the fuel pump relay. Most common is a faulty connector. If it's above the rear mufler, cut out the plug, solder and heat shrink. It usually means your pump is drawing more current than it should, causing terminal disease. You will probably need a new pump soon. I usually use a generic Bosch fuel pump ex VN Commodore and make it fit.

    looked at everything, and it may have turned out to be the alarm spider, now l just have to source one or find someone who is good at soldering, electronics is realy not my thing but pulling apart the dash was fun, only wish it would put itself back together
