    diff locks

I would like to fit a diff lock to my series 1 disco. I have found a bit of talk about them but am having trouble finding any prices. Im trying to get something that is going to be reliable and not cost me an arm and a leg. I had read that lokka had one that fitted the disco but cant locate it anywhere has anyone fitted or know anything about these they came up pretty good in the 4X4 action diff lock special

cant give you anymore info than you already know but thats where your gonna find the answers to the pricing and how/where to get them. If you get them let me know how it goes I'm tossing up over TJM Pro Lockers or those myself

mate the lokka brand lockers dont suit landrovers cause they are constant 4wd.

you will need a detroit or ARB/TJM.

And an axle upgrade, as yours will more than likely have 10 spline axles still.

I probably should have said that Im only looking at the rear at the moment which is why I was looking at the auto lockers and then Ill save up for the front later as its going to be more expensive having to get a manual locker.
I know that my rear diff has been replaced by a previous owner as there is a receipt for it Im just not sure whats in there ill have to pull an axle over Christmas to find out

you can use them in the rear but not the front beacuse they make them for 80 and 100 series landcruisers and there full time 4wd too you cant use them in the front unless you make your landrover part time 4wd

Yeah you will have the 10spline diffs and axles, if i were you i would convert to 24 spline gear while your at it. i have resently fitted a 24spline detroit locker to the rear of my 200tdi d1 which did have 10spline diffs.
i havn't heard much about the 'Lokka's', but after running a detroit for a month or so i woudn't go with anything else for the rear
I havn't had one drammer with it yet, it has clicked a couple of times going around a round a about but nothing realy worth noticing

i got mine from Lucky8 it the states, i think it came in at around $700-$750 posted to my door, well worth the money me thinks!!
Lucky8 Llc. - Take the road less traveled...

I also got a price from this place.....
    Home

They were even cheaper but he was away when i was enquiring about them so i had ordered from lucky8 by the time he reply'd
