    am i meant to be here?

    I crawed under my disco for a completely unrelated matter to find something I hadn't noticed before,

    It's the black tube, about 7mm in size with a curve dangling in free air above the sway bar...

    firstly, cause i hadn't noticed it before, should it be there..

    secondly, what is it?

    Looks like a breather hose. Maybe from GB or TC?

    funny you say that, cause its what got my attention... the fact it would hook onto something.. I do try to launch it at times..

    I hope its meant to be there and its connected to something deep within engine world

    Looks to me like either a front diff or gearbox breather... And NO it shouldn't! it should be up nice and high on the firewall.

    As said, a breather, usually tied up near the brake booster somewhere...

    Thanks guys

    i've pulled it up towards the firewall and hooked it onto something plastic up there.. will get my mechanic to secure it properly sometime this week, though it shouldn't move from where i've put it

    It hooks up on the firewall.There should be 2 together,TC and gearbox.Front diff also has one.
    Must be a trade mark of your mechanic.

    recent rebuild...

    most of the oil is on the driveway

    best way to get a leak free disco is remove the oil...
