They would be cheaper in the UK but they are quite heavy so shipping cost would be high. I recently bought one for a TDI Auto and it cost $437 from Karcraft in Sydney. There are some on Ebay as well but i've read that the britpart ones are difficult to fit. Karcraft reckon the one they sell was made by Bearmach (Scotland) when I first enquired but not sure what I ended up getting as it had no manufacturer name on it.

I have been thinking about doing it, but the price is close to a new core from a radiator place so I think im going to do that instead.

I decided to go with a new core from my local radiator place (Tony Delmo in Western Suburbs Melbourne) . Took it in to get rodded but it was too blocked. The new core has been really good, not a sniff of overheating since, even with a/c on really hot days - for the money ($400+ I think) they even pressure tested and sealed the intercooler which had some leaks, as I took the whole unit in. Definitely worth the money.
