    Brake hoses

Can anyone confirm for me whether D1's had different brake hoses. I ordered a set and the ones that arrrived had an internal thread one end and an external the other. The ones i was after have internal both ends.

    Hi Damien,

Yes early D1 are same as RRC with twin line calipers, later (1994 on) have single line calpiers and the hoses have female threads at both ends, and affixed via circlip at top and bottom.

I have the part number at work if you need it?

I just got extended brake lines from Les Richmond in Thomastown had no problems there he seems to know the disco's back to front. Mines a 97 and it has the same as yours internal (female) both ends single line front calipers

Stuck my head under and it appears that the fronts are internal thread both ends and the rears are external thread both ends. Anyone confirm with this?

thats correct and the rear have 2 nuts on the upper end that lock it onto the mount plate so be sure to check the thickness of the nut on the hose Thicker one to bottom thinner one to top

Thought i'd chime in here. My extended lines, yet to be fitted are male/male and female/female. No difference in thickness of theaded ends though. Exactly the same male theaded ends in thead size, length and thickness. 96 disco here.
