    Headlight Clips

Hi has anyone got or knows were I can get any cheap headlight mounting clips(white plastic holds the headlight adjusting screws) to suit a 98 Disco. I have rung a couple of places the only one that had any sells them in a kit( 3 adjusting screws and 3 clips ) $66 including postage, I really only need one clip but would like a couple of spares.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I just got mine from British Car Components in Nth Melbourne Vic. They cost me $5.00 each. He does mail order. Graham is the guy that runs the place and is very helpful. His number is (03) 93295766. There is a link in the Vic Vendors section.

Hmmmm Not sure if this helps but I bought something that is best described as a plastic plate that screws to something with what appears to locate something round gee thats not the best description. they were bought for the inlaws Disco 1 and as their headlights got a hard whack and were loose. In the end I didn't need them but they are sitting out at the shed at Wandi so I can't confirm part numbers or take a pic of them. I would have enough to do one headlight possibly two. I found them the other day and thought I should give them away. I can't confirm till Sunday or monday when I will be next out that way. looking at the NZ link above it would be the part that the ball sits in. Not sure if it gets you out of trouble but if you want them send me a pm.

Im not putting this post up to try to rock the boat by any means of the imagination.

when do we distinguish between helping someone out, and "stealing business" from a vendor? i mean seriously. i understand that there are rules and regulations and i am not one to dig my heals in and buck against the rules whats so ever, but far out, dont you think that its going a little too far when someone has to hide in PM land just to give someone a hand with some quick and easy parts?

What im sorta trying to get across is this point, we're here as car enthusiasts, using this forum, telling everyone about our adventures, our builds, offering advice, asking for advice, and generally we know most of eachother here. I understand that the vendours are paying 'the rent' to keep the website alive, but where can someone still be of help without getting into trouble?

Being an enthusiast but also having a business. ( I do not canvass business on forums) if I was so inclined I would pay to advertise on one . but I have helped out forumnites with the occasional part at my cost without publicing it just to to help them out. If I was to help everyone out then it would defeat the purpose of being in business to make money. I advertise to a greater audience elsewhere.
As I said before there are vendors paying for this site, so I have to respect that and not tread on toes.
