I've gotta trouble
Can anyone help me with the oil line setup coming out of the rear of the Turbo on a TDI?
I have a broken line that goes behind the engine and seems to hook up to the rear of the Turbo somehow. It feels like a T piece setup maybe or a 3 way piece. I cannot see it as its dark and everything is covered in oil.
ATM I have an oil line which is a hard nylon tube about 3-5mm outside diameter.
It WAS going inside a rubber hose about 10mm long, something like a rubber fuel hose, which then clamped on to the brass Tpiece.
I cannot believe that this is an original Landrover design, but I don't know what is original.
Can someone help me with.
1 What is the proper setup?
2 How is the line attached to the Tpiece and can you buy the parts from a local parts supplier etc?? or do I have to go to a Landrover dealer??
Thanks for any help!!

Your description is hard to follow, where does the line that goes behind the block go to, some pics would be very handy, or even a detailed drawing of where the pipes start and end, trying to diagnose a problem from a distance is not easy, so more details please, Regards Frank.

Thanks for the effort Frank but I phoned a mech and he explained to me that my problem is NOT an oil line but a air pressure line which hooks up to the fuel pump.
Although it will leak oil if it is broken, it is not an oil line!
This is why I was confused because it was a nylon line going INTO a rubber hose and held on with a clamp. I couldn't believe that an oil pressure line would be set up like that.
Anyway, all is well, thanks for the help!!!!!!!!!

The line you are referring to going from the turbo, behind the engine, goes to the top of the injection pump on the other side of the engine to the turbo and is an air pressure line.
It causes an increase in the fuel flow as the turbo increases boost.
This line is setup from the factory exactly as you described; being a hard nylon line going into a rubber line.
The other line from this t-piece out of the turbo goes to the waste gate.
edit: crap, too slow!
