    transfer box problems

    hi all
    i have a 1997 300tdi disco i had a leak somewhere from the transfer box so i pulled my gearbox out and had the seals all redone by the mechanic, i have just finished putting it back together and are having problems selecting high range, it keeps poppping out after a cpl of gear changes, but runs fine in low range, have i not adjusted something correctly as this was not a problem before i dropped the box, also when i select high range it doesnt feel like it really goes into gear either,

    G'day, you're right, something is not in the proper place. If you remove your console and all the rigamarol under it, you will see the splined gear and matching linkage at the top end of the transfer linkage. If this is slightly out you will have the problem you describe.

    on my 93 there is an adjustment rod that screws into the side of the gearbox,dont know if yours is the same
