Why would you want to remove the camshaft gear?

You will need a spanner type tool to bolt to the front crank hub to stop turning motor while doing up crank/damper bolt. A locking pin for the inj. pump wheel (10mm drill shank), a locating tool to hold the crank at TDC, a puller for removing the front crank damper, a torque Wrench and at a pinch a tension wrench to adjust/read the amount of tension on the drive belt and the best tool of all a Genuine Land Rover Workshop Manual, Regards Frank.

Was needing one on a weekend when I couldn't buy one anywhere, so I made one out of 40x3mm flat bar, in the shape of an h. Just welded the long handle section (about 300mm ish) to a shorter section with a 32mm spacer. I had intended to buy a proper one but this ugly thing has been working for years very nicely, for a few dollars worth of steel - and if you have access to a welder it can do the job.
