    What is the..........

    ....metal disc thing near the steering damper, think its mounted to the front diff. It has a metal cable on it also.

    Thanks guys, and yeah came off by itself on the way home from some off road action. Seems to still drive OK though.

    Yeah dont bother trying to put it back, its only for those soft poms so they dont vibrate their delicate hands .

    The balancer came off my D1 when I installed the QT diff guards - no noticeable difference in feedback. Could be wrong, but I think the vibration or harmonic balancer is specifically tuned/weighted for standard springs, so might not make a lot of difference when used in conjunction with aftermarket suspension - mine are TJMs with 2" lift.
