    Exhaust manifold gasket

Hi all, any advice for changing these? If I soak the bolts in wd40 over night should this be ok? Also do I need to drop the exhaust or can I manage if I do it bit by bit?

    Cheers

Personally I would take off the bottom manifold flange nuts and then remove the whole manifold and then replace the flange gaskets as well.I think this is the easiest way to do it.Before you put all the nuts and bolts back on give the bolt threads a coat of anti seize grease.Do you mean soaking in WD40 after removal or before,as a good spray before can help to release seized bolts and nuts, and soaking afterwards is also fine and make sure you give the threads a good wire brushing and then the anti seize grease.

Thanks, I've just ordered the flange gaskets aswell as the manifold ones. I'll give it all a good soak with wd Friday night and then remove on sat.

He sunroof is acting like a waterfall in the deluge we are having at the moment so I'm going to try cleaning the seal and vaselining (?) it to make a better seal with the glass. Having a swimming pool round the handbrake is getting a bit annoying now!
