if you can find yourself a set of head gaskets and replacement bolts, assuming the gasket failure isnt caused by block softening allowing the bolts to pull out, I'll change the gaskets for you FOC. I'll even do it as a call out.

My days been just that good.
Good on you Dave! Let me know what parts you need, I'll supply them FOC, incl freight.

    Keep up the good work!

lets assume at this stage that its just a head gasket gone at the back of #7 or 8..

    I'll go...

2x headgaskets, headbolts, exhaust gaskets and valley cover gasket for the repair

I'll throw a service at it so if its not stretching the friendship I'll grab a filter set too.

Any one localish who wants to come along as an offsider to help with lifting/tool handling that'd be helpful.

    Hi DM071,
So it's all falling into place, despite all their failings the Land Rover marque has the best following and the best people. I bet you never sell it now. I felt like a real heal at the start of this thread, I'm just so glad everything is working out for you and your kids.

    Good luck

    Thumbs up

you know, just recently I have been a bit disheartened by lack of courtesy and just how selfish, rude and grasping some people are.

I'm really pleased to see that there are genuine people who will do a good turn for someone else.
Thumbs up and Thanks to those involved.

I'll give you a hand, just let me know when and where. You should already have my number, if not P.M. me and I'll send it again.

    Regards

Well, I think that a real big hand needs to be given to Dave and Justin for their unselfish and willingness to help out someone in desperate need. I was going to offer my services also but Ill leave it to the more qualified and approate persons. Everyone....a big hip-hip for Dave and Justin for promoting the forum in this way. Bob
