just brought a 96 disco in great condition, has a 50mm lift. i brought it from a land rover mech. he had some bfg muds 235/85/r16 on defender rims, for sale too. so i brought them. he cut the rear guard at the bach to fit them in for me as part of the deal.
Great tyres but still look a little skinny. without flares how wide can i go, so with the current set up can put on 265/75/r16.
What rim do i ask for my local tyre place gave one option, sunnies, but i want a bigger looking offset instead of the flat looking defender ones i have. i have tryed the search function to get anwsers but are struggling.
by the way i love this car so far and are going to put an auto locker in the rear............hooked on the disco

265's fit nicely with stock rims although you will get a little rubbing, offset +25mm i think would be as far as you can go without flares . Looking at mine i reckon 275's would be ok with stock rims - just, but i have a 3" lift.
