    265/75/16 tyres with 7" or 8" RIMS?

Hi all, I'm building a Disco 1 with Flatdog flexi arches & -25 offset steel rims & 265/75/16 tyres .What size rims do I use 7" or 8"? Most tyre manufactures recommend to use 71/2" rims , I have never seen these!! Any advice/info greatly appreciated - Thanks Russell

IMHO I would use 7 inch rims.I have 265/70/16's on 7 inch alloys and they are fine.I personally like the extra bit of rubber out from the rim to protect it from rocks when off road.I also have used 33/12.5's on 8 inch rims.
    Cheers

7 is the narrowest rim you can fit them to if doing alot of hard off road work go the 7 if doing alot of hi-way go the 8 your get alot better where out of your tyres

I went 7" rims with 0 offset (increase of 50mm in track overall). Have run them very low in the sand and done some silly things and not had the bead roll off

edit* I'm running 265/75r16 maxxis bighorns.

I have read about offsetting rims with a lot of interest but where is the best place to get them??

Again I read about offsetting standard disco rims but I must admit I wouldn't have a clue as to where to go or who to talk to to get this done?

Since I cant seem to edit any more, the actual track increase is 66mm as I believe the stand rims are +33mm offset.

As to where to buy them, I got King rims, but I think dynamica also do them. Most wheel shops should be able to get King rims.

Some people also get the factory steel wheels cut and re-welded to their desired offset.
