My disco wants to be a defender???

Our D1 develops a trickle of water down the INSIDE of the windscreen when it rains. I assume this is likely to be an issue with the windscreen rubber, but just thought it worth asking if it was a common problem?

Mine's the same. I had the windscreen replaced once - all it did was move the leak to another part of the windscreen.

    Just:

    • paint the roof white,
    • cut the wipers in half,
    • almost completely block the heater outlets,
    • restrict the drivers window so it only opens half way.
    • realign door so you can see daylight around the seals
    • put a peice of wood under the front seat so it rubs on your left leg (just below your knee).

There you have it. A Defender

Just fixed the leak in mine.I took off the side windscreen moulds and then just ran a heap of auto sikaflex inside the top rubber then down the sides. Also gave it a good clean first with a good quality degreaser that does not leave a film residue.Has not leaked since.

My rangie also does this, but it seems that its coming in through a gap between the roof and the brace across the top of the windscreen - its a bugger as it drips straight onto the cd player - killed it

Hey Ben, this means it needs a disc brake Salisbury in the rear, and a decent BIG Jap diesel in the front, Oh and don't forget the LT95...
