    window problems

Hi people i just brought a 95 disco and own a 93 range rover, but on the disco i bought the power windows were not working and i new that but i thought i could fix but i am stumped only the front passenger side window works, i have checked the fuses there fine the switches have power, i pulled the driver side door trim off and i found that there was power at the motor as well, only way i could get the window to move was make a direct earth to the wire at motor then it would only go down, then i hooked up the battery to the motor direct to move it up again, so i don't no where to look now i'm thinking auto electrician any help would be good thanks Luke.

Try swapping the known good switch to the other positions, see if that gives you a different working window, if not then I believe there is a problem with the window lift controller.

I think this is a regular problem, and if you hunt on here you will find a fix for it.
