    Nice looking bus. Your son will struggle to find one that neat again, must have a good reason to sell, is he changing brand and moving on or just looking for something different?

    Yes it was a nice one that's for sure, pretty rare to see a coloured one without the paint peeling. D-gas and an injector tweak and it would've been the ducks nuts.

    Hi Guys,

    I'm back on Australia again (this time for good) and have just shook hands on a 1999 Discovery ES V8 model with 196k on the clock. I had a look at a couple nearest to me and this one just felt right, and is in really good condition as far as I could tell.

    1999 Land Rover Discovery II ES

    Anyway, bringing an old thread to life as I imagine I'll be asking some questions soon enough. Firstly, I need to get a mechanic with a diagnostic tool as the ABS and a couple of other lights I can't guess at have come on the dash. Will also give it a full service. Anything I should keep in mind?

    Runs good though. Sadly couldn't find any diesels around here in good shape and I'm a little fond of V8's.
