    Cutting guards

    Hi was just looking for some advice on doing a camel cut on the rear guards because on the travel my tyres are touching when i was downat the sand dunes.
    1. Not sure what to do on the fuel tank side..
    If any one could post some pics for me to look at and show me the fuel sideeas well that would be good ..

    Unless you have lpg with a 1/4 panel tank fitted the cut goes no where near high enough to affect the fuel filler. From memory you draw a line 50mm back from the lower gaurd edge and then run a line up to where the level on the silver trim meets the lip. I used a thin cutting disc with an angle driver or you could use an air cut off tool or a dremel.

    I run 32" bfg km2 (235 x 85 x r16) and have a 12 mm camel cut, no rubbing on the tyres at all.

    It looks like it doesnt need much i run 265/75/16 with +20offset rims they just touch at the bottom of it will have a look on the w/e

    They will touch, i have the same size muds and got a couple of small nics from the guards before i did the cut.

    I see were you have cut yours looks good no probs now with them touching and you took 12mm off yeh

    I have done the camel cut as well, use masking tape to draw on the cut line. I even added the lip back on and bent it back under. Have to be a gental bend or you will crack the paint.
