I am hoping someone can answer my question.....
I have gone to no ABS system on my truck as I don't like ABS offroad. I have removed the ABS pump and am selling it on TradeMe.
Question is, can I remove the WABCO ABS ECU behind the glove-box without effecting any other electronics of the vehicle....ie: ignition?

What are these worth if I can pull it out....I know, I know...go ask a wrecker, but if you have tried to get any parts from a wrecker for a Discovery here in NZ, you would find it would be worth $1000's....

From what I can see from the wiring diagram the ABS ECU is independant from any other system so it should not effect any other electronics.
So I'd disconnect it and drive for a while to be sure.
Is this Discovery on the road? It's going to be hard to get a WOF with the ABS disabled/missing.

It's really at the moment for off-road. I am getting things done to it and then will get it certified so I can get WOFs with out any issuesOriginally Posted by nobbyclrk
