    Hey all
I joined this forum a few weeks ago I had a standard disco series 1. Since then I have done a 2 inch lift removed the plastic from my bumper yesterday I got my 33s and started cutting things lol first I did a 50 mm Camel cut on my back guards when I fitted my front wheels they had maybe 5 mm clearance from mud flaps so I removed them and achieved 10 mm silly me thinking this might be enough I then got in started the disco turned the wheel and listen to the guard crunch.. Hrmmm I decided a 50 mm cut at the front will prob be sufficient but I was wrong how much do I need to cut? I have no idea and don't wanna stuff it up n make it look ****. Cause it looks f'n cool with these tires n the lift if anyone can help post pics I would much appreciate it thanks

Your going to need flares and probably a body lift to fit those up properly.

Do the flares and see then, you will probably scrape on full articulation but the only way to find out is to try it

I have 33x12.5x15's on my 94 Disco which has a 2" lift, the guards on the front are cut right up to and including the standard guard flare, just below the moulded groove that goes from front to rear. On the rear 90% of the original flare is cut out, I have LRA fibreglass flares fitted, I would imagine that the flares would come with a template for cutting the guards. If you go off road with the clearances you have now you will bugger the guard and probably the tyres, Regards Frank.

Check if the flares kit you are going to buy has a template for cutting the guards, if you cut without the teplate you may make the cut in the wrong place, Regards Frank.

Slow and steady mate. If you rush in and go too crazy you stand to make your disco look like its been hacked into.
Get the flares first and trial fit them then you can cut out the difference. Or as stated if there is a template use that before you go too far.

dont think your going to have too much room for flex without either a 2" body lift or another 2" on your suspension..
