    I would definitely do a compressions test, it will tell you if you have a problem with a ring or valve. In the case there is one or two cylinder with a pre ignition pressure problem, you might need to go further and do a leakage test to identify the source of the problem.

    Let us know if you find it. I'm off to change the leads on mine which is the only thing I haven't done so far...

    Leads fixed the miss. Checking the old leads with the multimeter showed a few with a higher resistance reading than the rest. Which just happened to corrospond to those leads that were a bit long and run closer to the exhaust manifolds.

    Runs sweet now

    Next on the list
    new tyres (245/75's)
    new steering damper
    2" lift
    Timing case seal
    Trans cooler hoses
    Try and prise the keys off the missus
