    Terrafirma Lift kit disco 1

Hi there. i have purchased a +2in lift kit including lifted springs and pro sport +2in extended travel shock absorbers. My question is, with the combination of lifted springs and extended shocks, do i require extended brake lines?

I've got the same pro-sport dampers and haven't touched the front brake lines but on the rear I've put a spacer between the T-piece and the bracket on the rear axle to lift the T piece up and reduce any strain on the flexi hose.
Just need to be gentle when lifting the T-piece that you don't kink the solid brake lines.

    Terrafirma lift

If you dont mind me asking, how much does the kit cost ? Does it maintain the soft ride of the stock disco , or is it much firmer.?
Did you purchase direct from Terrafirma or did you go through a dealer?

    regards

    John

i Dont have terrafirma.. but I do have a 2" lift and I extended my lines simply because the car flexs very well and it was for peice of mind not only that bt it improves braking also if you get ADR approved braided lines
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

I did it with my 2" lift for the same reasons as Dullbird. I could see that the rear hose was pretty much at it's limit with the vehicle on a flat surface, a good flex would probably have ripped it off.

Also, the old flexible hoses on the front were feeling a little squishy - the new stainless braided lines seem to have improved pedal feel (non-abs D1).

Extend the lines to be sure. I did mine after I flexed more than I thought I could and busted both front lines. It's not fun driving home with no brakes and you wife's jeep in front to use as brakes if I had to ( lucky I didn't need to). Save the stress do it before you "have to"

Ok so the general consensus is that it is a good idea. In this case can anyone tell me the best place to find a set of extended braided brake lines.

Also i got mine through johncraddocks online store delivered for about $650. I find that apart from a slight increase in body roll at speed the ride is still comfortable without decreasing handling ability.
