mmhhh. interesting point, scando!
So let me try and get this right, you have a square (?) bar through dirver/passenger window - rope/chain with tackle going from the center of the bar through the center console hole to the gearbox?
If so then in theory I could use an engine crane instead of the beam/tackle assembly, right....
would save me $300 cash and the floor in my shed is quite rough concrete so the little plastic wheels on the trolley jack could be difficult to move in position....
On a different note, I have actually "found" a second Discovery (V8) off a mate which broke down due to a failed clutch recently and I have kindly offered to use his for a testrun
)
So his Disco is in the shed, ready to go, all I have to do is get a few parts on Sat morning and we'll see how far I get until Sunday
I'm excited!!
--- oh, yes, there is the silly problem on the V8 with the one piece exhaust, does anybody have a briliant solution instead of ripping the rubber exhaust mounts to bits to get it off (I have struggled sooo long with replacing them before, I wish there was a way to avoid doing it 3 times....)
Cheers
