Gday, I did mine with the White tiger kit from les richmond below is a list of things that needed too change.

    1.) radiator mounts need spacers
2.) the bottom radiator shrowed needs trimming too accomidate the hight change too the clutch fan,

3.) steering shaft to the steering box may need shims to increase the spline length

4.) transmission cooler hoses need to be bent to accommodate the new angels,

5.) rear bar mounts will require spaces to align them to the body correctly same as the front ball bar mounts.

6.) the Gear sticks will require modification so they dont hit on the transmission tunnel when changing into second gear.

I think that's all the small jobs i had too do. Body lifts are a trial and error thing and seem to be different on every car take you time and lift it up SLOWLY then check everything before starting and driving.

If you want to do it properly, trust me from experience buy the full kit that includes everything. If you don't put the new spacers under the rear wheel arches there is too much stress on the very rear body mounts and you "will crack or break the mounts off the chassis" no buts ifs what's its just a matter of when. The damage could be death to the disco unless you know someone who can do engineer approved welds to your chassis. My disco may be going the comp truck route now thanks to lack of info and bad directions from a not to mention 4wd shop that I used once and once only. Or I may have to get a suitable donor to start again. So don't take a body lift lightly it has to be done right or the results could be catastrophic

    agree strongly with nicho

Good onya Trucker, I just finished my lift install. I brought a quality kit from LR Automotives. The White Tiger kit was comprehensive and well thought out. It included everything to lift the body and also fittings to lift radiator, bull bar etc to same height. Like splatters said, a few little mods and tweeks here and there but nothing too scary.
Dont waste your time (and wallet) with cheap kits. They will include a few blocks (less than you need) and a good luck dont call us message if your lucky. They will eventually wreck your ride.

I posted today in the tech forum (see lift kit D1 thread 20/02) a few words about the little things to watch out for that wern't in the otherwise excellent instructions.

    Good luck with it.

I also installed a white tiger kit from lra and highly recommend it! Only thing that I found they didn't mention in the kit was to check the line to the lift pump (300 tdi). It put to much strain on it and eventuly cracked when I was a couple hundred kms from home out in the bush which resulted on quite a fuel leak. From memory we made a bracket to lower it
