    Exclamation Battery clamp

    Having trouble figuring out how to put in my battery clamp, has 2 j bolt things but I'm not to sure where they go, ones twice as long as the other

    I think they go across the width (shorter section) of the battery in a front to back of the car orientation.

    The bent J hook at the bottom faces away from the battery, with one attaching down behind the headlight and the other one on the other side of the battery towards the back of the car again with the hook facing out from the battery attaching to one of the holes in the metal.

    I hope that's right, it's been a while since I've looked at them.

    To descibe in another way.
    The anlge iron bit goes on the end of the battery nearest to the radiator/fan.
    You will find holes for the J bolts about half way along each side, shorter at the front.
    Sometimes it helps with the front J bolt to hold it up with a zip tie as you use all three hands to hold the battery calmp and do up the other one.
