    Side steps installation

    Hi all

I just recently purchased a 1996 3.9 - its my first land rover. It came with kingsley side steps supplied by prev owner but not installed. I had a look under the vehicle but cant see anwhere to bolt up these boards. Help please??!! If this has been prev discussed a link would be more than appreciated..
    Many thanks
    Adrian

My old D1 also had these initially. They are next to useless in the bush as they dint, bend and pull off too easily. Anyway that aside... from memory (about 14 years ago) there were 3 or 4 thin steel angle brackets that bolted onto the step and then on to the body mounts not the chassis components. I'm fairly sure they had to all be drilled but could be wrong. There was also a small alloy bracket at the front that ran up the inner guard about 6". Can't recall anything else so hope this helps a little.
