1100kg will be fine with a HD spring set, unless you plan on larger tyre then stock will be better especially if you tow a lot. Lots of choices for springs - Kings, Ironman, Tough Dog, LRA, OME etc. Kings are good and reasonably priced.

I bought standard height and standard duty Dobinson springs from Suspension Stuff and have been more than happy - they are firmer than a standard spring and sit slightly higher - I fitted mine 2.5 yrs ago and would highly recommend them - I have towed a Jayco Eagle 900kgs and my old Viscount Pop-top camper 800kgs with minimal sag. and great handling - I would think that HD springs would be way too stiff IMHO.

I have TJM 2" lift springs in my 300TDI D1, also recently installed Billsteins. The ride is really good with normal loads, however, my vehicle often gets loaded up really heavy with work stuff and found the springs and shocks as is weren't enough, too much travel over big bumps and the rear would sag a bit. I didn't want to lose the quality of the ride I get with normal loads, so after some research went with Polyair Bags at the rear. Best thing I have done - they are tuneable for a range of loads just by changing the air pressure. This way I didn't have to suffer really hard springs for the times its not loaded up.
