Jack up each wheel and check the wheel bearings before you drive it any further.
I have seen a D1 lock up a wheel and change lanes when one locked solid.

Wife and I were out today for a drive. All on sealed roads. D1 tdi running beautifully. A few k from home I was sure I had a flat tyre. As I slowed felt like I had shredded a near new tyre. The noise and the feel as I pulled to the side of the road told me it had to be a flat!
There seemed to be some locking of brakes on the passenger side but when I had stopped and looked around the vehicle everything appeared in order, no smoke, a small amount of rubber smell.
As I tried to drive off felt like the hand brake was on. It wasn't and again the problem felt like it was on the passenger side. Put it into reverse and seemed to free things up. Into first, and an uneventful trip home.
Once home I crawled under the vehicle, everything looks to be in its place.
Any one... Please.... Any thoughts

with diagonal wheels chocked jack up each wheel and do a rim rock check it the wheel moves step on the brakes, if the rim rock goes away while the brakes are n then the bearings need adjusting or replacing
rinding noises while you're tuning the wheel isnt cool.

Rusted up brake caliper, pistons aren't retracting. Heat expansion from friction causes the caliper to bite harder. stop, let it cool, reverse shifts stuck pads a bit, drive slowly and heat doesn't build up as fast.
brake hoses delaminating on the inside?
Thanks everyone for your help. Yes it was wheel bearings. Passenger side, front, and rear for good measure.
And just discovered that the rear passenger side bearing has chewed the stub axle up. The fun of owning a Disco!
