Thread: Seeking recommendations for extended brake lines

Pirtek Blacktown make them to suit, ADR approved. About $50- or $60- each for Braided teflon, rubber also available, either braid over rubber or std rubber both get cheaper again. Speak to Brad or Mick, they can make from model/year too as they have a large listing on hand.

I suppose the Braided Teflon are the way to go?

Yes, the rubber eventually breaks down and will force it'self into the caliper. It them can block the small ports allowing the fluuid to return clamping the caliper on. I found this out the hard way, at 100km/h braking for toll gates, suddenlymassive front left lockup and I've crossed 2 lanes and drove through the trees & fence dividing off the suburbs from the motorway.

No it was great, drove back on and didn't pay the toll!

Stuffed a new tyre though, skidded an entire layer of rubber off a michelin XM+S down to the canvas. Looked great, would stand up and never roll away.

Not too late as I am still waiting for the suspension to be delivered. I plan on getting it all fitted then measuring maximum flex so I know how long the extensions need to be.
