Seeking recommendations for extended brake lines

    Hi All,

So I've ordered my 2" flexy coils and extended shocks.
615mm on the front and 625 on the rear.

Obviously I am going to need to extend the brake lines.

Can anyone recommend a set of suitable extensions and/re where I might be able to get them made in or around Sydney?

    Thanks in advance.

Pirtek Blacktown make them to suit, ADR approved. About $50- or $60- each for Braided teflon, rubber also available, either braid over rubber or std rubber both get cheaper again. Speak to Brad or Mick, they can make from model/year too as they have a large listing on hand.

Thanks. I'll give them a go. Not too far from me.
I suppose the Braided Teflon are the way to go?

Yes, the rubber eventually breaks down and will force it'self into the caliper. It them can block the small ports allowing the fluuid to return clamping the caliper on. I found this out the hard way, at 100km/h braking for toll gates, suddenlymassive front left lockup and I've crossed 2 lanes and drove through the trees & fence dividing off the suburbs from the motorway.

Glad to hear it wasn't more tragic.

No it was great, drove back on and didn't pay the toll!

Stuffed a new tyre though, skidded an entire layer of rubber off a michelin XM+S down to the canvas. Looked great, would stand up and never roll away.

    Thanks Spel1,
Not too late as I am still waiting for the suspension to be delivered. I plan on getting it all fitted then measuring maximum flex so I know how long the extensions need to be.

They wouldn't be ADR approved I am assuming. If you contact APT Fabrications, they stock Stainless Steel Goodridge extended Braided Lines that are ADR approved. They cost a little bit more though.
