So a had a fun day yesterday after discovering that i was losing ATF at an astonishing rate (took 10ltrs for me to get home) and after degreasing the whole underside and rear of my car i found the tiny hole in one of the hoses.
Once i get the whole cooler pipe off (maybe both to be sure) should i just get replacement OEM parts for take them to ENZED/Pirtek and have them modded to accept screw on fittings for easier repair later ?

I gave up on the OEM crimped hose's and got Enzed to silver solder on lifesaver push-ons (Enzed Product code 39982-8-8) to the existing connectors, they had to machine them down slightly so they fit. I bought 4 metres of hose ( SAE 100 LP PUSH ON HOSE - Product code 611-8). The push ons are very good and the only way the hose will come off once pushed on is with a hacksaw or similar.
Total cost for me was $218.67
Cheers

Looking further at the hoses they seem to have rubbed against each other so both have worn thru, i was going to go to enzed/pirtek and get a price but OEM have lasted 14 years so i think i'll just get new ones and save the hassle.

Missus had a leaky one on the Disco a while ago. I silver soldered JIC fittings to the tubes and made up some hi-temp R5 type hoses with screw on fittings. Same type of hose used on a lot of heavy truck fluid hoses, Cummins etc.
we used pirtek on lou disco still ok after three years, just gave them the old ones to copy, can not remember price but lot cheaper than dealer price

OEM price is sub $200 for both pipes , if i get a chance tomorrow i will take them off and see what price they quote to repair.
I generally prefer upgrade/ repair to original parts where possible but since they lasted 14 years i think they will outlive the vehicle.
