Supercheap will sell a kit which you can fit

    http://media.supercheapauto.com.au/s...opilot-diy.pdf

I think there is another brand that they do that has been used by a few people on here.

I think this is the other brand http://www.tcag.com.au/documents/Cru...gue%202012.pdf

You can also try and find a D1 at a wreckers with a factory cruise control. The switches will be a better fit to the steering wheel.

PS I had a read of the Supercheap article and they are the same brand.

Ditto re wreckers. You'll find that your disco is pre wired for cruise control. If you do want to swap from a wreck, read up on it in RAVE - so you know all the components you need.

    Cruise Control for 300 tdi

I've driven many vehicles at work with normal power to weight ratios and cruise control and it works well.

But I wonder how well it will work on a 300 tdi which is so under-powered. Surely it will be shifting gears up and down and hard reving in a lower gear to keep up on hills (and theres lots of those in the Sydney region).

Mine is reving away in 3rd or 2nd to try to keep up with traffic up hills and never can (even after all the usual fuel, exhaust etc mods have been done).

Basically, I just have to accept that its a truck and learn to go up hills very slowly, so it seems to me a cruise control would only be good on flat roads and there are very few of those on the east side of NSW.

That is why they have a cut out switch on the clutch.
