    rear work light

    hi all
im in the process of making a rear light holder for the back door of lou's disco.
two quick questions, were did you run the wires, at moment 'im thinking drill a small hole and fill with a grommet.
secondly were did you take the power, some were from the back or run a new cable down to the battery.
    thanks ian

think i just answered my second question, will run a wire to the second battery then no concerns how much the light is used when camping.

I ran my wire from the battery via a switch on the dash then under the door kick panels to the rear. To get to the door I pushed it through the existing rubber tube then drilled a hole behind the spare wheel carrier with a gromit to the outside.

With todays low power LED or Cree lights there is no need for a relay setup.
    Cheers, David.

Seconded on the location and grommet behind the spare wheel. Even though power is from the second battery, if you don't use led's (like me using an old Hella driving light) depending on the draw of your light you might still want to run power through a relay than take it through the switch. Also, while you are pulling wires from the front/spare battery, its a good time to put a fused cigarette lighter outlet or two in the back somewhere for accessories etc, saves pulling the carpet up twice.
