    LANDROVER DISCOVERY SERIES 1 XROX BAR | eBay

    In my ongoing quest to find a good airbag compatible bar I have come across this. I quite like it in concept but it doesnt have full frontal protection which I need.

    I wonder if it could be modifed to provide full frontal protection with a bit of welding? What do people think?

    I wasnt able to get any good detailed photos of the bar on a D1 from the seller to be able to determine this.

    Any one here happen to own one?

    Lots of people here have them...

    One recently hit a roo, lots (around $7k from memory) of damage as the roo went above the barwork on the sides...

    Once you modify it - it will no longer be compliant...

    Personally, I would avoid this bar style unless you do comp work or are a city slicker

    ok...thks, that one is off the list.
    So with an air bag bar any mod will make it non ompliant..suppose that stands to reason.

    Yes thks for that. I have another 'does any have' thread in here referring to this bar...I would love to talk to some one who has one on a D1. The seller sent me a stack of photos of the bar on a D2 and it looked to have a poor approach angle to me..even worse than the ARB bar...really need to see one in the flesh of hear from someone who has one.
