    Roof Rack Tips

    Hey Guys,
Another problem I hope someone may be able to solve, I should say also I am at sea and trying to purchase these things for when I get home so that I can hit the beach straight away, is a little difficult to solve problems when not at home!!

Anyway, with respect a roof rack for my disco, have found a great 2nd hand TJM one however measurements given seem as though it will not fit, my disco has a factory fitted rack on the fwd section of the roof and no visible way of removing, the TJM one stands about 255mm off the gutter, apparently, and I have had a measurement taken of my car whilst away and seems that it needs to be about 270mm to clear the factory fitted rack??? Think mine is the SE, maybe the rack was standard?

Anyone out there dealt with one of these??

    Thanks heaps
    Matt

I have the TJM drop down rack on my car. It will not fit with the factory roof rails though. They can be removed but you need to take out the roof lining to do it. If it sagging it a good time to fix that too. There are 2 bolts holding them on. Then you need a plug for the holes.
    Cheers, David.

East Coast Bullbars make a rack that fits over the factory roof bars.
