i just bought myself a decent multimeter, wondering if thats gunna help me understand my set up better
Hey guys,
My recently acquired disco has a dual battery set up, which ive just noticed has a deep cycle battery included. I have absolutely no idea about the system, what to look out for, how to tell the way its set up.
Can anyone give me a rundown on what i should be doing, swapping the batteries over periodically? or an incar read-out system that i can fit so i know whats goin on, on the go? I obviously have no idea, please go easy on me lol

Got a brand name on the dual battery controller? Most systems are automatic, and connect the two batteries together when the main system is over a set voltage, say 13 volts, then both batteries are charged. Redarcs have a LED that lights up when the relay connects the two batteries together. When the main system voltage drops below that, the relay disconnects the auxiliary battery which keeps the main battery charged for starting. Camping loads (fridges etc) should be connected to the auxiliary battery.
its got a VSR, voltage sensitive relay module (ignition protected) with a cut in and cut out value on it? it does have a little red light on it lol :S no idea if im looking at the right thing or not
Maybe some pics of everything you think might be connected / relevant might help
