Hi All,

Hoping I can get some advice on the annoying squeal coming from my engine.

It is Serpentine belt/Pulley related. Removed the belt, ran the engine for a few seconds and no squeal which confirms my theory.

Replaced the belt with a Dayco 7PK2238 (A/C fitted). Cleaned all the pulleys. Still squealing. Put the belt on the other way round, still squealing.

All the pulleys seem to be running inline. Am planning on changing the tensioner pulley bearing if only I could get that snap clip out!!! Any tips for doing this would be appreciated.

The bearing in the A/C compressor pulley has a small bit of play in it so I plan on replacing it. Problem is I can't undo the 10mm centre nut. I can't hold the centre bit still. Have trying using a prybar but can't hold it. Is there knack to removing the centre bolt?

There also seems to be a bit of movement in the Power Steering pulley. Can the bearing be replaced in this or does the whole pump have to be replaced?

With a bit of luck replacing these bearings will fix the squeal.

Cheers

Adam
