Probably gonna get shot for asking this

    Hi all,

I have read somewhere a tutorial for cleaning the TPS and Throttle body on a disco 1, I cant find it anywhere and now I dont even know whether I saw it on here or not.

Anybody have any idea where to find said tutorial/diy. I am really getting over the disco stalling all the time,

It would be very hard to clean a TPS.( Throttle position sensor)'. They are a sealed unit variable resistor .

I think if you look for articles about cleaning an IAC or stepper motor you may have more luck.
To clean the throttle body just take off the hose and stick your hand in wrapped in a rag with throttle body cleaner on it.

That explains my inability to find what I have been looking for

Hopefully cleaning the throttle body might stop the stalling

    Cheers

Probably cleaning or replacing the stepper will do more, although a low base idle from a dirty throttle body can also affect idle.
