Drive it then shut the engine off when it does it, will help isolate it. Just make sure to go back to ign so you don't get steering lock.
I was once caught out by a rattling outer guard on my steering dampner. Something to double check.
When i drive my disco it started when i hit a bump or changed gears you would hear a clicking from outside.
now when i get over 40 kms it happens and when over 80 it is almost constant.
but here is the kicker it is not rev related,
not speed related.... the clicking dose not speed up and slow down with road speed, it just clicks more often / constantly.
dose not matter what gear you are in,
dosent matter if you are on or off the gas,
same if you are breaking,
no difference if you engage the CDL
help it is driving me bonkers.
oh i have even removed the fan shroud thinking it may be this

constant velocity (CV) joint
defiantly not a CV it is in a straight line and dose not speed up with road speed
Not speed related but just before my water pump died it gave a click/ clacking sound .
