Dead easy. Bend a piece of sheet metal, eg fencing sheet approx 350 long, 200 wide, into a shallow vee and jam it between the sump and the exhaust. Hang it in a suitable container: cut an oil drum in half/use a bucket to catch the oil flow and it's all done.

A 1.25l soft drink bottle with the top cut off, slip over filter once loosened then twist bottle/filter till filter slides into bottom of bottle hold there until flow slows enough to remove - do this over a drip tray.

An off cut of roof flashing would be the perfect size for this.

Thank you to all. Really appreciated. Will try the alu roof flushing. I like the idea of the very clean controlled flow of the fumoto valves too.. Must be a local supplief somewhere...

I use these drain-plugs from Difflock.com on my V8's....really quick and easy without any mess. After use I run a cup of petrol through the pipe and it's ready for use next time.

    DIFFLOCK.com - New Products

    They have a webshop too.
