    Brake Distribution Valve blocked???

    Hi all,

Im still haveing trouble with my brakes.

The brake distribution valve on the passanger wheel well is apparently blocked?

I took it to my mechanic but he admits he has little knowledge of land rovers?

There is no fluid comming out of the valve into the back brakes?

is there a fix for this or do you need to replace the unit?

    Thanks for any advice!

Don't they have a slide inside so that if one brake circuit fails the slide moves to block the failed circuit??

If that is correct the slide may have moved so pulling it apart and moving it back to its centre position might work.

    Thanks Gary,

It ran empty of brake fluid last week when the master cylinder broke so that may be responsible, do you have any idea how to pull it apart?

    Thanks for any advice!

Specifically - no - as it is different to what is fitted to my vehicle. However looking at the pic in the link above I guess a start would be undoing the big nut at the end of it.
