How to get a disco 1 to flex?

Hey guys im just wondering on how you get the most flex out of a disco 1 without getting extended brake lines ect. I was talking to a guy that owned a disco that worked at O/L in Newcastle he said to get all tough dog gear 7" landcruser shocks? and just tough dog 2" disco springs, dislocation cones and a few other things but I can't remember. Is this guy on crack or?

Doesnt take much to get a coil sprung landy to flex, but you have to ask yourself why do you need all that flex and how will it drive on the rd.
Even a bush pig weekend driver has to handle the bitumen to get to the tracks. Soft springs and long shocks is all you really need.

and some spanners and zip ties to get the sway bar off, takes about 10 minutes.

if you;re going to do that on a regular basis it might also pay to have a think about the brake lines.

yes, thats what I thought when I got my Defender, I embarrased myself when my stock Toyota 105 complete with sway bars had more flex than the 110 sans sway bars, Talk about dummy spit, I immediately took out the 130 springs that prev owner had fitted and found some nice cushy orig 110 springs to put back in & my faith was restored, job done, Toyota sold !!!

A Disco doesnt have any more or less GC than any other coil sprung landy with the same running gear, the sals diff has less but larger stock tyres cover that.

Disco belly heights look a lot lower.

A defender body sits on the chassis unlike a disco but the running gear position is basically the same, bugger all in it really.
