    XYZ Electric windows

Mutters under breath about them new fangled electric window things.

Left front window now refuses to move through full range.
Only rolls about 2\3 the way down, no big deal.
Yesterday, got home, now the damneable thing wont close any further up than the last 1\3.
Temps for the week are indicated to be a balmy mid 40's here in the Riverland.
Not looking forward to pulling that recalcitrant front left door apart yet again.
Anybody able to lend me some Simtex or similar? That should fix it once and for all.

Failing that, anybody got a front left electric window mechanism for an early model 3 door D1 I can obtain at ex-serviceman pensioner prices?

Just gone through all that. Ended up getting a new regulator mechanism which was $95 from MR Automotive but there are cheaper ones out there.

If you want to do it cheaply, do a google search, there a few people out there that have made up various replacements for the nylon runner which is probably the culprit, unless the spot welds have broken.

I think some have even been able to find sliding door runners from bunnings that were close enough.

Not a bad idea to get new trim clips before you start as you will most likely break some getting the trim off.

    Good Luck
