    Wheel bearings

I want to change the wheel bearings in my D1. Are the seals and bearing a standard size that I can get off the shelf from a bearing supplier or OEM part? Are the front and rear the same size?

    Cheers

Al 4 wheels are the same. 2 bearings per wheel.

OEM for bearings is Timken and for seals it's Corteco. Not sure of part numbers for the manufacturer sorry, but the LR part number for the seal is RTC3511. Can't recall bearing right now sorry.

Your local bearing shop should have them listed. Around $30 each for the bearing and a couple of bucks each for the seals.

Check your bearings first before buying replacements, i have never had to replace wheel bearings in any of the LR's i have owned and all were 270K+.
Check, repack and replace the seals is all thats usually required.

I agree with loanrangie. Unless you have had water or something else through the bearings they will be fine. Consider going to a oiled bearing conversion rather than grease and you will probably never wear them out.
