    Question V8 EXHAUST MANIFOLD LOCK TABS???

    What an epic task, anyone know an easy way to get these tabs bent back? I must remove the drivers side exhaust, there's no other option. Top ones were so easy and then...OMG! I got one bottom one cleared I think. I searched forum threads but to no avail. Do I really need to put them back in should I ever get these bloody things out the way. I've spent most of my arvo with a stubby screwdriver and SWMBO's craft hammer. Now I will just drink and hope for some AULRO salvation...TIA

    The folded section is not quite as long as the head so I usually just use a socket and gently tap it on which pushed the tab back. These need to be replaced each use anyway as the heat makes them brittle and usually a few break off anyway.

    I found combination of beer, air hammer, screw drivers, pliers, hammers and foul language works well. The drivers side is significantly harder than the passenger side.
