    Confusing rough running?

    Hi guys,

My d1 v8 started running rough on both fuels. I stopped using the gas and ran on just petrol. It runs lumpy then cuts out, I've changed the maf but it seems worse on the new ( ebay cheepy ). It smells of fuel and seems to be running rich, bit of black smoke on start up then white under load. I know discos are renown for maf going bad. I have new leads air filter. So next step O2 sensors? Cam? Fuel pump? Plugs? Would really appreciate ideas!

    Cheers guys

If it was running rough on both fuels then it would be most likely something common between the two. I would look at your ignition system dizzy, cap, rotor, plugs, leads, coil and the ignition amp. Have a search for Bee Uteys amp upgrade it is well worth the effort.
