Broken rubber thingy on rear shaft

Hi guys, I seem to have broken the rubber thing at the back of my rear shaft on my Disco...Is it possible to remove the shaft and drive it to get a replacement tomorrow?..I can't remember if I have done it before.
    Cheers

Remove the drive shaft. Lock the centre diff and you can drive on the front diff alone until you get it fixed.

Remove rear shaft, engage centre difflock and away you go in front wheel drive.

It's normally a regular failure point on lifted cars.

Even if yours is not lifted, it may be a good time to convert the diff to a regular 4 bolt flange & fit a RR Classic or D1 tailshaft.

Hear this a lot, and I have all the bits to do the conversion...

But in 7 years, lifted 4" running 33's our D2 is still running the factory Rotoflex coupling fitted in 2000

Take some pics or mark which way the bolts go. it can get a little confusing when its all apart...it did for me anyway

u may also need to change the spigot bush as well. Alot of doughnuts are sold with the spigot bush so u can change it at the same time,
